
Energy Minister Welcomes Saudi Twaik Group’s Interest in Investing in Sudan
Twaik Group met Sudan’s Minister of Energy in Khartoum to explore investment and cooperation opportunities across energy, oil, gas and infrastructure.
Sudan’s Minister of Energy, Engineer and Adviser Al-Mu’tasim Ibrahim Ahmed, welcomed Twaik Group’s interest in investing in Sudan during a meeting in Khartoum on 6 September 2026. The Saudi delegation was led by Sheikh Sultan Al-Anzi, the Group’s Executive Director, representing Chairman Sheikh Twaik bin Maq’ad Al-Otaibi.
According to Sudan Horizon’s report, the discussions covered opportunities in energy, oil and gas, refining, petroleum services and energy infrastructure. The delegation presented the Group’s experience across contracting, infrastructure, real estate, mining and industrial assets, as well as Ammar United’s capabilities in oil, gas and refineries.
The minister expressed readiness to facilitate investment and develop partnerships supporting Sudan’s economy and Saudi–Sudanese cooperation. Sheikh Sultan Al-Anzi said the visit was intended to identify available opportunities and discuss cooperation with the ministry and other relevant authorities.
